I wish everyone a happy holiday and hope everyone is safe

The root of the word “technology” is the Greek word tecknos, which means “art.” Technology has been linked to art for centuries. For example, it took almost four years for Leonardo Da Vinci to paint the Mona Lisa, the most famous painting in the world. Today, it would take a graphic artist using a computer about five minutes to reproduce her. What is your view of the idea that today’s art is technology?

Technology is associated with art in many ways. You can make art through technology such as drawings, or even collages. You can make video games, and graphic design!!!

Write about technology that you fear. Why do you fear it?

I fear technology because we can not make it without it. I believe that if we take away all technology in the world, the world would go to crap. Everything would crash and it would be mayhem in the streets.

Write about a piece of technology that you truly believe is changing a community. This could be social media like Facebook or an application designed to do something specific (i.e., help children learn language).

I read an article about these girls who created an app in a 3rd world country. With the app they were able to locate fresh water for people nearest to them.

How have computers revolutionize education?

computers have allowed students to continue their education and learn more throughout school.  I believe kids learn better when they are using technology, or even if they have technology incorporated in their learning experience.

On this day in 1877, the phonograph was invented. This machine allowed people to listen to phonograph records. How do you think listening to these records was different than listening to music today? What may be the advantages and disadvantages of each type of machine?

The sound quality was not as good and it was very blotchy. I think that music quality today is very clear and understandable.

On December 3, 1967, the first successful heart transplant was conducted. It is important to keep your heart, along with the rest of your body, healthy. Create a list of ten (10) activities that will help keep your heart healthy. In addition how do you think technology has changed the way heart transplants are conducted?

6. eat multi-vitamins 
7. cut down on salt
8. eat fish
9. drink less alcohol
10. read the food label

Convince someone why music or art or computers are important in your life. Make them appreciate your viewpoint.

I told someone about Drake, and they appreciated and liked him
